Sometimes you don't want the stuff for children (or other products) they sell in the stores because it has A LOT OF strange prints that you don't like :)
My quick tip for today is: Unpick the seams, save ribbons with buckles, elastic ribbons etc cut out new fabric from the pieces and sew it all back together again in a fabric that you like.

A pram for the dolls and a bouncy seat that I've made new fabric for that suits better with our style & taste.

läckert!
ReplyDeleteVisst blir det bättre än orginalet :-)
Bra idé, såklart! Allra helst om man kan köpa grejerna second hand så det blir återbruk rakt igenom.
ReplyDelete...and we just brought a "doll-stroller" for N. She loves it and likes to run straight at us with it. But it's BABY PINK! Why can't they make things targeting small girls in more normal colors?
ReplyDeleteReally cute. Definitley worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Love the stroller...sure beats Winnie the Pooh!
ReplyDeleteI bought a lovely bouncy seat (babysitter?) when I was pregnant with my first and it was definitely a splurge, but when everyone is going crazy it's nice to have some calming colors at least.
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg! "Babysitter" is the Swedish word for it. Or should I say Swenglish :) I've changed it to English now :D
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics you chose!
ReplyDeleteFantastic - i am always doing the same. Just pull it apart and make it better. Yours are beautiful...so beautiful
